Baltimore artist Kimberly King graduated from The Maryland Institute, College of Art, where she majored in General Fine Arts and Graphic Design. Her work as a graphic designer and a painter have allowed her to pursue both passions in tandem. She has been drawing and painting since childhood, stimulated by her love of color and intense curiosity of texture and light. Kimberly is known for her soulful delicate portraits of people and pets, along with her colorful and expressive renderings of landscapes and florals. Her techniques offer an experimental format to transform subjects using unexpected color variations and textures. Her oil paintings, pen and ink drawings, and mixed media works have been displayed in art shows and galleries in Baltimore, MD and Edgewater, MD. She has also established a local reputation as a street artist with several mural and street art installations in the Overlea area of Baltimore City.
